COBRA administration provides clients with the tools needed to be in compliance with the COBRA Act.
COBRA, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of April 7, 1986, is a law that demands employers to offer employees and their eligible dependents the right to continue medical coverage if a Qualified Event is presented.
Any employer with with 20 or more employees during 50% of their working days in the previous year is subject to COBRA. This includes full time and part time employees. (Every 2 part time employees are considered 1 full time employee)
- Benefit Eligibility Administration: Managing and processing of Cobra elections, Initial Cobra and regulatory notifications, health insurance benefits administration such as: enrollments, cancellations, medical coverage issues, pharmacy issues, services and prescriptions preauthorization process, appeals process for denial of services and/or prescriptions & reimbursement process.
- Call Center Administration: Provide orientation regarding Cobra benefits such as: cobra package, eligibility, payments, inscription periods, cancellations & evidence of insurability.
- Billing Reconciliation: Validation and processing of payments and procedures to received outstanding payments.
- Reports: Headcount reports, Enrollments, cancellations, payments received and delayed payments and any other customized report.
